On February 24, 2021, WFU’s Race, Inequality, and Politics Initiative sponsored an event titled, “Uncovering Inequity and College Access.” This was the first event of the spring 2021 speaker series on topics surrounding education and inequality. The event, organized by Dr. Lisa Kiang (WFU, Psychology), included a discussion with four expert panelists: Dr. Shannon Brady (WFU-Psychology), Dr. Nate French (WFU-Magnolia Scholars), Professor Omari Simmons (WFU-Law School) and Dr. Laura Gonzalez (UNCG-Education). Panelists answered questions posed by attendees during the event and at the time of registration.
